A wedding kiss

Our wedding kiss was probably the best kiss i had with my husband.
It was a a combination of natural, sensual and symbolic kiss. awwwww!

I can say, 'twas really different compared to ordinary kisses we had when we were still sweethearts because 'twas a kiss that we both took as husband and wife.

:-)

This picture shows one of our intimate moments during our wedding, when we were silently whispering to each other iloveyou's, and blissfully telling each other how happy we were but a photographer like Jim Ubalde didn't excuse us and wanted to take a keepsake of our chummy-cheesy moment.

Lovely.

Haay, When there is kiss, there is satisfaction.

a happy bride

A relaxed bride is a happy bride.

I advise you to slow down a week before your wedding. Give all the instructions to your wedding coordinator and spend the remaining days to rest, relax and reinvigorate yourself before your wedding day.

Typically most of the stress falls on us, brides and we don't want to walk down the aisle frazzled, ugly and exhausted, right? so it's really important to pamper yourself before your big day.

Spend a day at the spa or beauty parlor to get your nails colored, foot soaked, hair re bonded etc... You can also invite your girlfriends to join you and have a good chit-chat.

I could vividly remember that day, when I quietly watched the beautiful drama that unfolds and slowly savoring each memories...

I can't imagine being more happy on the day when you, too, will be a bride and walk into the arms of your husband.

a very beautiful feeling.

A question of Priorities

(Pls click for a bigger picture)

Let's talk about wedding costs, expenses and budget. This is the hardest thing to compromise with your fiance. Believe me, You will go through a lot of hearings and arguments;so good luck. :-)

I am guilty of being so idealistic and ambitious at first. I wanted this and that. Let's have this and that; not knowing Cebu has increased a lot when it comes to wedding supplies/suppliers. Even if i was only yearning for a simple and intimate wedding.

Our initial wedding budget was 250k and we vowed to only spend that amount of our savings but as we went through our preparations, we realized that 250k was not enough.

'twas not enough because we wanted to inject a little class on it.

We were closely watching our costs, and we made some considerations na because we didn't want to spend all our savings in our wedding. There's still a challenging life after the wedding. We think of a baby, family insurance, a brand new family car, good thing we have a house, but we need more furnitures, educational plan, etc..... we made sure that the measurement of our special day will not be tied up to the luxury of our suppliers but to the special memories that we will preserve and treasure.

There was really a question of priorities. My husband put a high priority on foods, reception. And I had photography as my priority because thats what lasts. We will always look back on our photos.

It was really hard to juggle wedding costs and since we wanted to stay true to our dream wedding. We decided to stretch on our budget. We doubled it. But i swore to myself (for the last time) that if we go beyond our new budget, I won't push through with a church wedding. I would rather have a civil wedding and keep our money for future use. haha you know practical.

I was lucky to have a very responsible husband. He paid everything. He didn't allow me to share on our wedding expenses. See, I am so lucky..lucky girl. hehe but I did my part by not overspending and not be very demanding hehe.

I had a simple yet a well complimented wedding. :-)

My advise is to limit your wedding expenses but not to the point of not achieving your dream wedding. Just make sure to have an extra savings after.

From drab to colorful...

When I transferred to my husband's domicile right after our wedding, I wanted so many things to tackle inside the house but I haven't done it yet because I have so many things to do and so many things to consider.

Plus, i am still adjusting. But the longer I live now in our new house, the more i am forced or lets say obliged to redecorate at some point.

Just last Sunday I decided to go for one room at a time. I started with our bedroom. My husband's bedroom before was so boring and drab. I mean, it looks so manly and so serious. I want it converted to a colorful temporary space.

You know, a colorless room makes me gloomy and moody. I want our bedroom to be a relaxing and happy room and I find so much joy in bright and interesting colors.

I started with our bed sheets and comforters and curtains...here's a glimpse

I hope to show you more soon.

Now, I am having good sleep.

Fabuloso, TIN CANS

'Twas so nice to know that our guests were able make use of our give-aways right after our reception party.

weeeh..

They took home some cakes, and they made it as their cake keeper. Fabuloso!

See, it's really nice to have a useful give-aways on your wedding.
It makes me feel good to hear that they were indeed using our personalized TIN CANS, instead of just decorating it at home.

Good. Good.

Wedding Guestbook - a favorite

(jam-packed emotions)

Wedding guest book is one of my favorite wedding accessories.
It is such a great keepsake to treasure and a good treat to read.

Last night, I was again having this "post wedding hang-over" I went looking, browsing, organizing our wedding stuffs and for the nth time, i was again lurking on our wedding guest book.

I truly like it. I love the meaningful messages that my guests wrote in there. They all tugged my heartstrings.

Haay, I still really love to talk about our wedding, and personally love the attention and never tire hearing from other people on how beautiful and intimate our wedding was.

Pasensiya. teehee :-)

Banana Book did a very good job on my Wedding guestbook. They made it a hard cover photo book and the the pages were glossy. I also instructed them to create empty boxes where guests can write their messages. I get rid of only names and addresses to input.

It cost me only P1, 495.00. And it took them 3 days to work on it. Clap clap.

If you want, you can visit their stores in Banilad Town Center or SM, Cebu.
You may want to browse their site for more of their products: http://thebananabook.com

Tips:
1. Pls stay away from the traditional wedding signature book because it is boring and dull. Come up with something personal and modern.

2. Put some pictures on your Wedding Guestbook. It could be your pre-nup pics or your old pics as a couple to give an entertaining look.

3. Give some spaces where your guests can write messages for both you. It's nice to read 'em again and again and be reminded of their special thoughts on you.

4. Have it personalized to tell more of your story.

A wedding song

My close friend, Jimmy Marquez (who was a finalist of ABS-CBN's Star in Million and now currently touring with the other champions like Sarah G, Rachel Anne Go etc. outside the country)see, am that proud!... beautifully sang this song at my Wedding. And Boy, the lyrics are just perfect for a GREAT TRUE LOVE.

Give this beautiful wedding song a listen.

"The Last Time I fell in Love by Eric Benet"

the last time (live) - eric benet

The first time I fell in love was long ago.
I didn't know how to give my love at all.
The next time I settled for what felt so close.
But without romance, you're never gonna fall.
After everything I've learned;
Now it's finally my turn.
This is the last time I'll fall... in love.
The first time we walked under that starry sky,
there was a moment when everything was clear.
I didn't need to ask or even wonder why, because each question is answered when your near.
and I'm wise enough to know when a miracle unfolds, this is the last time i'll fall in love.
Now don't hold back, just let me know.
Could i be moving much too fast or way too slow.
'Cause all of my life, I've waited for this day.
To find that once in a lifetime, this is it, I'll never be the same.
You'll never know what it's taken me to say these words.
And now that I've said them, they could never be enough.
As far as I can see, there's only you and only me.

This is the last time I'll fall in love.
Last time I'll fall in love.
The last time I'll fall... in love.

To show my gratitude - Pls get a copy of his latest album under Viva Records. :-) By MY SIDE. pls click on this link for more infor about the album.
