Tasting the stars

Favorite: Blended Ice Caramel Cream
(Caramel blended with ice, topped with whipped cream and drizzled with caramel sauce)

Oh Starbucks!, how an afternoon delight you are! Even if I go ahead and get the world globe spinning, you will always be the worlds favorite drink. I don't care how much calories you contain but damn, i just simply love your taste. You have a sharpening effect on me.

Above all, you are the very reason why lovers bond and enjoy sipping while gazing at the same star. You come in between talks and simply ignites our whole system. It's simply automatic, like love. It automatically warms your heart but sometimes automatically burns you.

I do believe that the most important things to do in the world are to get something to eat, a Starbucks to drink and somebody to love. Whew, I am like tasting the stars while telling you this.

Thirst yourself to Starbucks stores in Cebu. Now we have a total of 6 stores already.

Kiss your life dearly

Lemme post this coz it tickles my fancy.

I love these pictures of them. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were seen smooching at the Screen Actors Award yesterday. 'twas a truly passionate kiss. WOW.

This couple is reminding me that Valentines day is fast approaching. And speaking of Valentines....hmmm, It reminds me of someone special that I never thought it was worth it. Waiting for his love and then felt his kiss. And I could never wait forever. aww.

Now, the malls in Cebu are covered with dominant red and hearty designs are all over. Cupid's flying hunting someone down and be drowned in love. If you drop by National Bookstore today, check on their Hallmark cards, sure enough they will tug on your heartstrings.

Let's gonna be like Angelina and Brad this Valentines Day. Livin' and Lovin' life.

I realized...in Chateau

I realized that a wedding garden is such a romantic, sensual location for weddings. In Cebu, Chateau de Busay is now considered the most popular location for a perfect a panoramic outdoor weddings.

It's beautiful. Just last month I attended two weddings there and I can't help being blown by the dazzling ambiance. It's over looking the city, intimate, and again romantic.

Now, I am dreaming of a garden reception surrounded by lush calla lily flowers and butterflies as they float seemingly around my wedding guests. Sigh.

While seeing my best friend wed, I realized that Weddings can be like funerals, where people cry, not for ill feelings or heart aches but this time because of so much joy.

I realized, It's not also about my sundress which i know i looked fresh and summery that time but its actually about two people who weathered all storms in their relationship and finally decided to build a future together. That's love, that's courage

And that what makes Chateau de Busay extra special not just for both of them but for all of us their guests.

Lover's quarrel witness

This car witnessed it all.
The deafening silence when we are having our silent war. The screaming, the cries, the blames, the tantrums all those of a lover's quarrel.

Toyota Coralla was there. Hearing all my sobs and my madness. I then feel the love sick turtle doves teasing. Lover's quarrel in progress....looms to create a tide in a relationship. Haay. Paet.

I am shattering like a glass now. If the car can just talk, he would probably tell me " Cmon, stop crying. It takes two to quarrel, but only one to end it"

I would snapped back "You are mean! Know, that a woman knows the face of the man she loves like a sailor knows the open sea."

Oh love, my world is you. The quarrels that we have are simply the renewal of our love.

But really, love is alike a rose. It looks beautiful on the outside...but there is always pain hidden somewhere.”

Delicious SmackDown

I love hunting good restaurants to dine.
Pursuit of Delicious Foods is what I truly enjoy shared with loveones Just recently, I happened to dine in at Ila Puti in Sykes Building near Offroads.

I just love their rich serving and their wonderful delicious local cuisine. Plus the place is such a posh. It's supah clean, less people, and it serves fast.
I ordered pork and chicken adobo, 1 cup rice, adobong kangkong, baby back ribs, ice tea.

Such a delicious Smackdown! was happy. :-)

Hello and Good bye.

Mactan International Airport is a place that I never really thought I'd spend as much time as I do. Yes, because I travel most of the time. But there are some reasons why I hate it. It all comes down to "hello" and "good bye"

I've watched people say good bye, cling to each other, crying, holding each other. This is always the scene in the airport and this scene stays forefront in my mind throughout the day.

Today, I've seen myself crying, clinging, holding Lynette - extending my arms until the tips of our fingers are finally pulled apart. And this was inside Mactan International Airport.

Good byes are never easy. I hate it. And even while writing this, it set my heart pounding. I shared a life with her in Cebu and I know it will be very difficult not seeing her here. I will miss our afternoon badminton play, our loose talks on matters of the heart, our craziness and funkiness, our dates, our mall strolling, everything, everything in her.

It's true that I can still find lots of new friends here but finding TRUE one is really so hard.

Lynette :-)
I wish you well in the US. I will truly miss you,
Things wouldn't be the same without you here.

Let's meet soon, here...in the Queen City of South. OUR BELOVED CEBU.

What's in Florida that two of my bestfriends are there already? I miss Lottie, also.

Sinulog Festival Queen 2008

Cebu Street

Pit Senyor everyone!

Nothing beats Sinulog traffic. I should know, I was roaming around the city that day walking like there's no end.

I saw people from different walks of life. The city was beautiful and crowded. The street was jam-packed with a myriad of people, the contingents were amazing, the floats were awesome, the festival queens were lovely...who couldn't enjoy that day?

Sto Nino has charmed all of us not only on his feast but everyday in our lives.

Happy fiesta everyone. See how it amazes me to see all these people filled up the street last Sunday.

Cebu, my Solitude

This is Metro Cebu. This is the view from where I am working.
Oftentimes you see me here screaming at the balcony of the 20th floor especially when I am fucked up.

So pardon me.

But this is the kind of scenery that sort of renews my spring. I usually feel good. just simply staring the whole Cebu. It makes me embrace solitude.

I keep my solitude because the more solitary I am the more affection I have for others

Cebu, my solitude.

Way to go, UC!

UC College of Law... the grueling home of my younger sister for 4 years now.
She is on her last year and hopefully marching this March 16.

Being a law student is not easy. I've seen my sister live in a cave where her law books and notes are her best friends. All those torts and bad lightning strike to her even when she is covered. There is no escaping the fact that a law degree is harder than most degrees.

But mind you, she is very proud of her school. Because....
It teaches her how to cover a number of different discipline within the law. The school is molding her to relish the challenge of legal analysis. And its only hope is for them to become great lawyers someday.

UC College of Law in Banilad is a new building created and opened last June 2002. It is a nine-story with the following:
• Fully-equipped computer laboratories
• Air-conditioned & spacious rooms
• AVR Room, Library and a Chapel,
• Open-air Canteen
• Speech, Physics and Chemistry Laboratories
• Drafting Room and Discussion Room
• Information Arcade within the Library
• Elevators
• SMART Lab
• Nursing Arts Lab
• Comp E/ECE Lab
• Physics/Chem Lab
• Chapel
• Canteen

Dako diay kaayo siya. I admit UC has improved really well enough not just in structure but most of its QUALITY.

Way to go University of Cebu College of Law!

Potty talk

I'm a super clean-freak that's why I do appreciate and recognize everything that is clean.

My eyes scrolled the entire comfort room in Sykes Asia Building near Offroads. It's super clean. Grabe!

The building is new. It is the main office of Sykes Philippines in Cebu. It also allows little establishment to do business like restaurants, convenient stores, coffee shops and others.

But what amazes me was the clean and very tidy rest room. The tiles are well wiped up and shined. The mirrors are as clear as the sky. The walls has no traces of dirt. Basta, pagkalimpyo naman lang gyud.

This is unusual nowadays and this is what we call real hard work usually thankless, and it should not go unnoticed.

So i dare shout, "Para sa CR nga limpyo, salamat kaayo, manang"

Yo! Art Exhibit

I have always been fascinated with ARTS and I know that each on of us has a different take on Arts. What is good art for me, might not be good for you.

But for me the most beautiful form of Art is painting. It expresses so much emotions. The sentiments are just overflowing staring on it. You can create your own story by those colors and forms.

Im going giddy and excited of the upcoming ABSTRAKAN 2008. It's an exhibit and competition of non figurative art by Cebu Artists. This will be held in SM City from January 3-16,2008 organized by TUSLOB-BUWA Artist group. You can visit their site www.tuslob-buwa.com.

Wow. I can't wait to see new master pieces by talented artists.
For me, they are special and its not just about doing their job. See you there.

Stupid Movie

Senator slams "ethnic slur" in Judy Anne's movie.

I am glad I didn't watch Sakal Sakali Saklolo starred by Judy Anne Santos and Ryan Agoncillo. Maayo nalang gyud.
I would have been like a rapper cussing because gi insulto tang mga bisaya. Sapoton ra ba gyud ko basta daug-daugon ta.

I wish they could have been sensitive enough especially when it comes to ethnic relation. The below excerpt is insulting, defamatory and discriminatory to all Visayans.
The message conveys that if a person is not Tagalog or Tagalog -speaking, then he is not a Filipino. Nabuang na!

I therefore protest this film and petition that it should be banned from the movies and TV.
Below is an excerpt from the said film that goes like this:

Yaya to grandchild: “Ayaw ug dagan, basin madam-ag ka.”

Grandchild: “Kadyut lang, nagduwa pa ko.”

(Grandfather with bulging eyes grimaces incredulously at the Visayan words of his grandson.)

Yaya: “Anhi dinhi.”

Grandmother (with a pained expression) to Grandfather: “Carlo, did you hear that?”

Mother: Ay naku Ma. Nakuha ho niya ‘yon sa yaya niya. Sinabihan na namin si Susan na huwag niyang Binibisaya si Rafa. Dapat Tagalog.”

Grandmother: “But the boy should be talking in English.”

Mother: “Hayaan niyo na sa eskwelahan matutunan ‘yon Ma. Dapat Tagalog kasi Pinoy ang anak namin eh.”

Cebu photo Blog

I am a certified blogger. I have been blogging since 2005. I have a personal blog supported by Blogsome and now I am creating a new blog just to satisfy my own inclination.. har har har.

But just as I am about to shut down, interesting blogs like this CEBU PHOTO BLOG makes me stay longer. I'm glued again.

SM City Northwing

I say WOW to SM City Cebu Northwing (dubbed as Cebu's Ultimate Shopping lifestyle). Indeed, it is.

I was there for the first time to buy some stuffs for my friend's wedding. By the way, I am not really a SM shopper since it takes me a lot of curves to get there.
Going to Ayala is easier coz its just a walking distance from my office. But Ohhh, I was flabbergasted by its design. I love the ambiance and the interiors. It reminds me of a mall in Singapore.

I roamed and roamed around Northwing and I just get delighted to its decorative style and structure.

My friends in Media told me that we should give credit to that Singapore-based designer who showcased his designing prowess and came up with good details for the Cebuano shoppers.
I knew it! its really very similar to one of the malls in Orchard Road, Singapore.

Don't you know that a hotel will be constructed by SM next to the mall in Cebu City? Henry Sy, owner of SM City is constantly looking for partners willing to infuse investment to complete the hotel's construction.

The Northwing has 1,946 parking lots. It's a three levels of covered parking and one level roof deck. Good, but I bet its not enough. SM is an attraction to both local and foreign tourists.

"Pagka nin-dot sa Northwing. Bilib ko."

Sony Ericsson P1i

Sony Ericsson P1i is such a posh!

I love my new P1i. It's so stylish that it combines business and pleasure. It has all the bells and whistles a business user could want. The only thing that I don't like is the user interface which is a little quirky, maybe because I am not used to it. I guess.

I am always connected and gives me always access to our company email, contacts, schedules. No matter where you go.

It's 3G and the speed is just so amazing.

You can unwind by snapping a picture with the 3.2 MP camera, or listen to music, or you can simply play and entertain yourself by editing pictures or writing documents.

If you are planning to buy one, please check the package. It should contain the following:

* 1x Sony Ericsson P1i handset
* 1x 1160mAh lithium-ion battery pack
* 1x CDS-65 desktop cradle
* 1x USB data cable
* 1x Travel charger
* 1x Memory Stick Micro 512MB card
* 1x HPM-62 wired stereo headset
* 1x Extra stylus
* 1x Carrying case
* 1x User guide & other printed material
* 1x P1i CD-rom with software

You can visit SMART Business Centers in SM Mall or E-Mall in Sanciangco to apply for post paid line. You can have it free for Plan P3,500

Plan 500 - Cash price of P20,600
Plan 800 - Cash price of P17,600
Plan 1,200 - Cash price of P13,900
Plan 1,800 - Cash price of P8,900
Plan 2,500 - Cash price of P3,500

I love SMART.

I love SMART better than Globe.

I have been a Globe post paid subscriber for 4 years now. I can truly say that I have been a good client. I paid my bills really well. More to that, I also use their other services at home like phones, internet connection etc.. Just recently, my phone gave up and its about time to purchase a new one.

I called up Globe and try to inquire for a new phone. Unfortunately, they could not give me a new unit but instead they would give me a rebate of P500 every month for my loyalty. Guys, I don't need a rebate and I don't care of that P500 every month. Just better give me a new phone and I am back to paying my bills every month even without rebate. Just give me a new phone.

Globe told me that I am not entitled for a new phone, only rebates. What's the difference? "And that if I want a new phone?", i have to cut my line then apply for a new account. Ohhhh, is this what i deserve with my 4 years of being a good client? It's really a pain in the ass changing numbers, you know, the hassles, the time, grrr. Damn Globe! F-ck Globe!

I decided to cut my line and I applied to SMART COMMUNICATIONS. A day after, a Globe agent from Manila called me up to confirm my disconnection and he wants to know the reason why I am cutting my 4 year old line, sayang naman daw. I told him my disappointment from day one i inquired for a new phone to the last day I decided to cut my line.

Ambot og naunsa, he immediately changed his mind and now offering me a new phone. Whats goin on, man! mga buang!

But since I got really pissed off, I decided to continue my application with Smart. I am just really glad I did that. Their phone package was awesome under line P1,800. They have service unit in case your phone gets lost or destroyed. You can change unit every after 2 years. This is really so SMART of SMART. They know how to satisfy their clients and take good care of them.

Now I am enjoying my Sony Ericsson P1i. Simply Amazing!
